Admission

Student admission requirements and procedure

NEUTRALITY. A student of any Nationality, religious belief, or political affiliation is welcome to Saint Louis College in accordance with the constitution and laws of the Country and within the framework of the philosophy and objectives of the College. The College, however, reserves the right at any time, to refuse, drop, dismiss, or not to admit a student for due cause, as enrollment in Saint Louis College is a privilege. A student applying for admission will be given due consideration by the College if he meets all academic requirements, possesses all the qualifications and none of the disqualifications prescribed by the College, Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and the Laws of the land.


UNFAVORABLE RECORD. Any student convicted of any criminal case shall not be admitted in this College even during the pendency of an appeal. However, a student with a pending civil or administrative case/s may be admitted conditionally provided he presents upon enrolment, a police clearance, court clearance, and NBI clearance.


TRANSFER STUDENT. As a general rule, Saint Louis College accepts transfer students from other schools but preferably from CICM affiliate schools.


SUMMER ENROLMENT. A student who enrolls during the summer term does not require residence in the College.

Admission Procedure

High School Graduates


Secure SLC Admission Test (SLC-CAT) Application Form from the Guidance Center and fill it out.

Pay the corresponding testing fee at the Accounting Office.

Submit completed application form, fourth year available grades, then present paid testing fee receipt to the College Guidance Counselors.

Take SLC College Admission Test (SLC-CAT) on schedule dates.

Exam result is mailed to home address or secured from SLC Guidance Center.

Submit to the SAO the following admission requirements on scheduled enrolment date, if qualified:

  • Original Form 138 (High School Report Card)
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character issued by the High School Principal
  • Results of SLC-College Admission Test (SLC-CAT)
  • Photocopy of Birth Certificate (NSO Authenticated)
  • 1 pc. 2x2 ID picture

Transferees


Present to the SAO academic records/true copy of grades/official transcript of records (OTR) for evaluation.

Take qualifying exam if academic records meet admission requirement. (Should pass at least 50% of the subjects enrolled during the last semester attended.

Submit needed documents/papers on scheduled enrolment date, if qualified:

  • OTR/True Copy of Grades
  • Transfer Credentials/Honorable Dismissal
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character
  • Result of SLC-qualifying examination for transferees (SLC-QET)
  • Photocopy of birth certificate (NSO Authenticated)
  • 1 pc. 2x2 ID picture

Former Students ( SLC students who stopped school for at least one semester )


Present to the SAO certification from the Registrar's Office that transfer credential has not been released.

Should pass at least 50% of the subjects enrolled during the last semester attended

Should not have been given disciplinary measure of non-readmission


Non-Resident Student


A student from another school who wishes to cross-enroll at Saint Louis College must secure a permit to cross-enroll from his mother school.

Likewise, no Louisian shall be allowed to cross-enroll in another school without prior permit obtained from the College Registrar. Grades obtained by the students from another school without the prior permit shall not be honored by Saint Louis College.


Foreign Students


Submit to the SAO the needed requirements 3 months before start of classes for evaluation

  • Application Letter
  • Student Visa
  • Official Transcript of Records authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post located in the student applicant's legal residence
  • Personal History Statement with character references

Verifies documents and requests for "permit to study" from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

Granted permit to study by DFA may take College Admission test.

Provides a copy of "permit to study" to CHED.

Enroll during scheduled dates.
